After the passing of my grandfather in December 2023, my mother and I set out to make a short film about his life. What began as a personal act of remembrance quickly expanded, through interviews with his closest friends and the discovery of family we had never met, into a story far larger than we imagined.
Those stories became Finding Goldfinger: a 90-minute feature film with a cast of 63, premiering on 27 February at The Labia.
But the story was not finished. Over the past months, I have re-imagined the film as an eight-part television series, allowing the emotional, intergenerational narrative to fully unfold.
